VANISHING ACT

Vanishing Act originated as a concept for a photography book that would showcase the photos taken in some of North Americas greatest cities. The name "Vanishing Act" derived from the urge to pack a bag and disappear into thin air, arriving somewhere exciting and new. Flying became the main source of transportation to these cities, therefore, the photographer was inspired to base the concept design of the photo book off of mid twentieth century airlines. The goal was to create a book that you would potentially see in a terminal lounge or in the seat-back pocket of the plane that you were flying in. We decided to take the concept one step further and create potential mock-ups of posters and merchandise that could be seen if Vanishing Act became a real airline.
